Moist Chocolate Snacking Cake
Easy One Bowl Chocolate Cake that is very moist and tasty.The Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting is a Lovely touch with it's Creamy Rich Texture and is Just as easy to Make!
INGREDIENTS
2 Cups White Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup Canola Oil
1Tsp Vanilla
3/4 Cup Cocoa
1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Salt
1 3/4 Cup Flour
1 Cup Milk
1 Cup Boiling Water
FROSTING
1 Cup Butter
3/4 Cup Cocoa
4 1/2 Cups SIFTED Icing Sugar
2 Tsp Vanilla
3 + Tbsp Heavy Cream
Beat until Smooth and Fluffy 5--6 min.
Double Chocolate Snack Cake
Chocolate Cake:
1 cup (190g) sugar
¾ cups + 2 tablespoons (130g) flour
6 tablespoons (32g) cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup (113g) buttermilk
¼ cup (50g) olive oil
1 egg
½ teaspoon vanilla
½ cup (113g) hot coffee
Chocolate Frosting:
1 cup (227g) butter
1 ½ tablespoons milk
1 cup (170g) chocolate, melted
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
1 ⅓ cups (185g) powdered sugar
Pinch salt
Sift your dry ingredients into a large bowl. Add the buttermilk, oil, eggs & vanilla & mix. Add in the hot coffee and mix until combined. Pour the batter into a a square baking pan and bake @ 350°F until done, about 20-25 min. Let cool completely.
While the cake is baking, make your frosting by beating the butter, milk & vanilla until smooth & creamy. Mix in the melted chocolate then the powdered sugar. Mix until fluffy and smooth.
Frost the cooled cake with a spatula and top with mini chocolate chips or chocolate curls
