Cracker Barrel hashbrown Casserole
Hi Neighbours, I hope you are enjoying the week. Today in this video I made a super easy and very tasty copycat recipe. I chose this time another Cracker Barrel recipe as it will go good with the meatloaf recipe I made from Copycat Cracker Barrel as well. This hash brown potato casserole would make a great side to any dish and comes together pretty easily. I hope you enjoy the video let me know in the comments below what you think . Also recipe here.
Ingredients preheat oven to 350 degree farinhight or
900 grams or 2 lb of frozen hash browns thawed ( I had to shred my own as my store didn't have )
500 mls of sour cream or about 16 oz
butter to grease casserole dish
2 cups Coby Jack cheese ( or you can use cheddar if you like)
1 onion finely diced
1 can of cream of chicken soup ( 284 mls or 10 oz )
2 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp pepper
butter up your casserole dish
in a bowl mix all ingredients together all but 1/2 cup of cheese save that for the top when everything is mixed well together.
after it is all mixed together spread evenly in casserole dish top with remainder of cheese
cover with foil to bake ( if you think the foil is going to touch your 1/2 cup of cheese topping don't add until last part of cook when you take foil off , If that makes sense )
put in oven on second lowest rack bake for 40-50 minutes covered. Make sure potatoes are cooked before removing foil. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese on top is bubbly and cheese and potato casserole is slightly darkened.
