1 c COTTAGE CHEESE
2 tb CHOPPED CHVES
1/4 c FLOUR
1 tb CHOPPED DILL LEAVES
4 EXtrA LARGE EGGS SEPARATED
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE BUTTER FOR COOKING 1 pn CAYANNE PEPPER
CHOP THE CRABMEAT COARSELY,AND MIX WITH THE CHIVES,DILL,SALT AND PEPPER,CAYANNE,COTTAGE CHEESE,FLOUR AND EGG YOLKS.BEAT THE EGG WHITES TO A SOFT PEAK AND FOLD INTO THE CRAB MIXTURE. GREASE A LARGE SKILLET OR GRIDDLE LIBERALLY WITH BUTTER AND HEAT UNTIL THE BUTTER BUBBLES.FORM EACH PANCAKE FROM 3 TABLESPOONS OF BATTER.COOK ONE ONE SIDE FOR 2 TO 3 MINUTES UNTIL BOTTOM IS brOWNED AND SET.FLIP WITH A WI SPATULA CAREFULLY.DO NOT trY TO FLIP TO SOON OR THE PANCAKES WILL FALL APART.COOK ON THE OTHER SIDE FOR ANOTHER 2 TO 3 MINUTES UNTIL PANCAKES ARE SET.trANSFER TO A WARM PLATTER AND CONTINUE COOKING UNTIL ALL OF THE BATTE HAS BEEN USED UP.MAKES FOUR SERVINGS. -----

On paper it seems like an odd paring, but the fluffy pancake was great, and a chaser of king crab hit the spot.
Okonamiyaki!! Savory Japanese pancake ????????
pancakes at home just got a savory twist— with Japanese street food or okonamiyaki. we had this in Japan at a local stand in Osaka, which translates to “grilled as you like it” since the dish can include any meat, vegetable or condiment you like from cheese, seafood to egg!
while the filling can vary, it typically has cabbage— bc gotta get your greens. ???????? we love this with crispy pork belly along with the sauce laden top! ????
what’s going in your okonamiyaki?
ingredients // mix
• 1/4 head cabbage, julienned
• 1/2 cup okonamiyaki flour mix
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup bonito stock
• 1 stalk chopped white onion of scallion
• 1/2 cup tempura batter bits
• 1/4 cup pickled radish, chopped
• 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
toppings //
• pack of pork belly slices, ~2 chopped per pancake
• okonomi sauce
• @kewpieusa
• furikake + bonito flakes to top
directions //
• mix batter together
• heat pan to medium low, add pork belly slices
• lay mix on top making a pancake
• sprinkle cheese on top
• cover with more mixture, cook for 6-7 minutes
• transfer to a plate
• flip over and cook for 10 minutes
• cover with okonomi sauce, @kewpieusa mayo, scallion, shredded seaweed and bonito flakes to serve

Japanese Soufflé Fluffy Pancakes | No Eggs
Ingredients*:
1) 1 cup plain flour
2) 1/4 cup caster sugar
3) 1 tsp baking powder
4) 1/4 tsp bicarb of soda (baking soda)
5) 1/4 cup oil
6) 1/2 cup buttermilk
7) 1/4 cup milk
8) 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Optional extras:
1) whipped cream
2) strawberries
3) lotus biscoff spread
4) lotus biscoff crushed biscuits
5) OR, maple syrup with icing sugar! :)
* makes 2 pancakes. 3 pancakes if you make them slightly shorter in height.

..alternatively, you can use a piping bag, an ice-cream scoop or a simple soup spoon!
Gently use a knife to detach the edges of the pancake from the moulds. If you sprayed lightly with oil, they could gently be pushed out.
