I was hesitant to cook a whole chicken in the Instant Pot because I had read on many food blogs that the taste could be bland and the skin quite soggy. That sounded very unappealing to me - especially since I love my roasted chicken in the oven.
But I decided with the popularity of these new pressure cookers that there had to be a better way to cook a whole chicken in the Instant Pot. And I was right! I called the manufacturer's customer service line and learned that there are certain techniques for creating a tasty, fall off the bone chicken with skin that isn't limp. Now prepping a chicken at the beginning of the week is easy and perfect for meal planning!

Ever wondered how to cook a whole chicken in the Instant Pot? Prepping a chicken at the beginning of the week is perfect for meal planning for the week!
I always wondered why people love whole chickens so much. It wasn't until I cooked one in my Instant Pot that I realized why people loved it so much!
Now if you have never cooked chicken in your pressure cooker, go to the store right now, pick up some chicken, and start cooking.
I purchased an Instant Pot a couple of years ago on Black Friday. At the time, the pots were about $100+, which just seemed outrageous for an appliance that I didn’t even know how to use. But on that day the price dropped as low as $59!
I try to cook at chicken at lease once in a week in my Instant Pot. It has become a weekly ritual that saves me so much time in the long run. I love to use this chicken for salads, enchiladas, sandwiches, and to just eat it with BBQ sauce.

If you are cooking for 1-2 people I would suggest the 3 Quart. If you are cooking for more, I would suggest the 6 quart!
