A Heart's Journey Series: Book 1: Heart's Cry Trailer and sneak listen to chapter 4. Heart's cry is a clean action romance novel between two intelligent doctors.
Lily Ann MacBride, an accomplished and respected OB/GYN, is forced to transfer from Seattle, Washington due to the jealousy of an overbearing boss. On arrival in Anchorage, Alaska, she meets a handsome rustic doctor, Clyde Nelson, who stirs up all kinds of emotions she would rather remained buried. Both doctors find themselves captivated with each other, but are unwilling to let their guard down. Lily Ann’s internal battle with her own self-worth and personal acceptance, mixed with past rejections, prevents her from falling in love. Clyde, conversely, longs for a woman’s love, but needs to mentally and emotionally move on from his tragic past.
Can Clyde and Lily Ann overcome their barriers? Is true love right around the corner?

Goan Prawns Chilli Fry | Easy Prawns Recipe
There are some dishes that are cooked repeatedly, and their taste can never be forgotten— it's like their flavour can be conjured upon the tongue whenever called upon. In our home, it's the Goan Prawns Chilli Fry (among many others). As with a hundred other recipes, every home (and every hand that prepares it) does it uniquely. Raw mangoes can make a good addition, whereas some like Kokum rind. Here, I've cooked up my staple, and I'd love for you to try it, and also, tell me how you do it!
For the Lenten season, here are some of my Vegetarian Recipes:
Ingredients:
220 gms Prawns, washed and deveined
1 Potato, peeled
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
1 large Onion, finely sliced
2 Green Chillies, large variety
2 (fresh) Red Chillies, optional
1 large Tomato, chopped
1/2 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
Oil, for frying
Salt, as needed
Fresh Coriander, finely chopped

Beans Or No Beans??? Early 1900s Chili Recipes - Old Cookbook Show
Beans Or No Beans??? Early 1900s Chili Recipes - Glen And Friends Cooking
I get it - You're from Texas and you believe that Chili was invented in Texas, and can't have beans in it... well it most likely wasn't invented there, and lots of Texas cookbooks from pre-WW2 have chili recipes with beans.
With that out of the way, we can move on. Down through the history of cooking there are many recipes all called 'chili' for short or chili con carne in full - not to mention many variations called Mexican Stew. Probably Chili Colorado (literally Chili Red) is the starting point for the modern recipe, but the basic meat and dried chili stew goes back centuries and wasn't really 'invented'.
This article from Texas Monthly does a decent job of trying to tell an unbiased history of Chili: Stating that many of the dates and history that are passed around as truth - are probably false.
Today on the old cookbook show we take a look at a bunch of community cookbook recipes and try to tease out what a traditional chili recipe looks like.
We no longer do sponsorships or paid promotions of any kind; we tried it a couple of times but it never felt right.
