How To make Cinnamon Nut Squares
1 c Butter or margarine,softened
1 c Sugar
1 Egg, separated
2 c All-purpose flour
1 tb Ground cinnamon
1/4 ts Salt
1 c Finely chopped pecans,
-filberts or unblanched -almonds Cream butter; gradually add sugar and continue creaming until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, flour, cinnamon and salt and mix well. Spread in buttered 15x10x1 inch pan. Brush with lightly beaten egg whites
and sprinkle with nuts, then press nuts into surface. Bake in preheated slow oven (300?F) about 50 minutes. Cut into 48 squares while still hot. Store airtight in cool place. Good keepers and shippers. Typed in MMForamt by Cindy Hartlin Source: Woman's Day. -----

Into a saucepan add the 60 g or 5tbsp sugar and 60ml or 1/4 cup water.
Boil and simmer until it gets a syrup consistency.
Remove from heat and let it cool down.

???? How To Make Cinnamon Blondies Squares Recipe
We're not saying that these are a substitute for brownies, but... Cinnamon Blondies... The original 'Brownie' before chocolate muscled in and took over. Often they are called 'Blonde Brownies' or Blondie Brownies'.
Ingredients
1 cup (250 mL) all purpose flour
1 Tbsp (15 mL) ground cinnamon
½ tsp (2 mL) baking powder
pinch salt
1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar
¼ cup (60 mL) butter, melted
1 egg
2 tsp (10 mL) pure vanilla extract
½ cup (125 mL) chocolate chips
½ cup (125 mL) chopped pecans
Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F (180ºC) Line 8 square baking pan with parchment.
Mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt in a bowl, then set aside.
In a large bowl mix brown sugar, butter, egg and vanilla until well blended. Add in the flour mixture and mix just until moist. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Spread into prepared baking pan.
Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until cake tester inserted in centre comes out almost clean. Cool in pan on wire rack then cut into 12 bars. (or as many / few as you'd like)
