How To make Chop Suey with Tuna
2 Stalks celery; cut small
1/2 Onion; chopped fine
3/16 ts Pepper;
2 tb Soy sauce;
2 c Water +
2 tb Water;
3/4 c Rice;
3/4 c Tuna;
Cook celery and onion in 2 tb water over low heat, covered. When tender, remove from heat, add rice, 2 c water, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and cook covered, until rice is tender and liquid absorbed (about 1/2 hour). Add tuna. Mix and remove from heat. Set aside, covered, for a few minutes before serving. Today, we're making Chopsuey! Its one of Mommy's favorites. Its very healthy and delicious. Chopsuey, is a dish made with meat (pork, chicken, beef), seafood (shrimp), quail eggs, lots of vegetables (brocolli, cauliflower, beans, carrots, bell pepper) in a very yummy starch thickened sauce. Ingredients:
2 tbsp Oil
100 oz of Meat
2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
1/2 Medium Size Onion
1/2 Tsp Salt
Pepper (to taste)
3 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
3 Tbsp Cornstarch
3 Cups of Water (add water according to thickness)
10 pcs Quail Eggs
10 Pcs Shrimp
Beans (cut to an inch)
Brocolli
Cauliflower
Bell Pepper
Carrots
3 Stalks of Green Onion
1. Heat the pan to medium. Add oil.
2. Then add pork, garlic, onion and shrimp, then fry for 3 minutes.
3. Add the oyster sauce and mix
4.Add the bell pepper, and the rest of the vegetable
5. Add the mixture of cornstarch and water, and let it boil for 2 minutes.
6. Add pepper and salt to taste.
7. Then, add your green onions and quail eggs and mix again.
8. Then, let it simmer for 5 minutes. (according to your vegetable crispness)
Serve with warm rice and ENJOY!
