How To make Chicken Pasties
1 lb Chicken boneless; cubed
3 md Potato; chopped
1 md Onion; chopped
2 md Carrot; chopped
1/4 c ;Water
3/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper, black
Pastry 1 Egg; beaten
1 ts ;Water
3 c Flour
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 c Shortening
1/2 c ;Water, cold, plus 2 ts
Combine chicken, potatoes, onion, carrots, 1/4 cup water, salt, and pepper. Divide pastry into eight equal portions; roll out each portion into a 6-1/2" circle. Spoon 1/2 cup meat mixture on the center of each circle. Beat together egg and water; brush edges of circles with beaten egg, making a 3/4" border. Gently lift sides of circle to meet top. Using fingers, firmly press edges together; flute edges. Combine 3 cups flour and salt in a bowl; cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle cold water (1 T. at a time) evenly over surface; stir with a fork until all dry ingredients are moistened.
Place pies on ungreased baking sheets; bake at 350 F. for 1 hour or until lightly browned.

500g or 1/2 kg of chicken mini fillets cubed into small peices
1 small or 1/2 medium onion finely diced
1 potato (approx 150g in weight) peeled & cubed
1 carrot roughly chopped
1/2 teaspoon of:
salt
ground black pepper
oregano
chilli flakes & mixed herbs
1 egg
1/2 tablespoon of black poppy seeds
1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger & garlic
2 packs of ready rolled puff pastry
White Sauce Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of plain flour
50g salted butter
1/2 cup of double cream & 400ml full fat milk

Hello folks!
So today for tea I made these wonderful pasties. You could fill these pastry parcels with just about anything! I used leftover chicken and ham…and added leeks. Very easy to make and such a comforting midweek treat. Everything I used will be listed below.

What I used - Makes 4-6 pasties…depending on how big you make them!
* 2 Tablespoons of olive oil
* 1 Knob of butter - about a tablespoon
* 1 large leek - sliced
* 100g (3.5 oz) cooked shredded ham
* 150g (5 oz) cooked chicken
* 150ml (5 floz) Double cream, creme fraiche or heavy cream
* 1 Tablespoon wholegrain mustard
* 2 Teaspoons dried sage, tarragon or dill
* 370g (13 oz) Pack ready-rolled puff pastry - I used two
* 1 Beaten egg
* 2 tsp poppy seeds, black onion seeds or sesame seeds - whatever you prefer

Chicken Patties with Frozen Paratha
Recipe in English:
Ingredients:
-Makhan (Butter) 2 tbs
-Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 small
-Lehsan (Garlic) crushed 1 tsp
-Maida (All-purpose flour) 2 tbs
-Safed mirch powder (White pepper powder) ½ tsp
-Lal mirch (Red chili) crushed 1 tsp or to taste
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
-All spices ½ tsp
-Doodh (Milk) 1 Cup
-Shimla mirch (Capsicum) chopped 1/4 Cup
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1-2 tbs
-Chicken 250 gms (boiled & shredded)
-Mon salwa plain paratha
-Anda (Egg) beaten 1
Directions:
-In wok,add butter and let it melt.
-Add onion and fry until translucent.
-Add garlic and mix well.
-Add all-purpose flour,white pepper powder,red chili crushed,black pepper powder,salt,all spices and mix well.
-Add milk,mix well and cook until sauce thickens (approx. 2-3 minutes).
-Add capsicum,fresh coriander,boiled & shredded chicken and mix well for 2 minutes.
-Let it cool down.
-On working surface,place plain paratha and cut into four parts.
-On one part,apply egg wash,add & spread chicken filling,place another paratha part and apply egg wash.
-Add & spread chicken filling,place another paratha part,repeat the same layer and seal edges with fork & apply egg wash (makes 12).
-On baking tray lined with butter paper and place chicken patties.
-Bake in preheated oven at 180 C per 25 minutes.

-Doodh dal ker mix karein aur sauce garha hunay tak paka lein (approx. 2-3 minutes).
-Shimla mirch,hara dhania aur boiled & shredded chicken dal dein aur 2 minutes kliya ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Thanda ker lein.
-Working surface per maida chirak dein aur plain paratha rakh ker 4 hisson mein cut ker lein.
-Ek part per anda laga lein aur chicken filling rakh ker pheela lein,dosra paratha ka part rakh dein aur anda laga lein.
-Chicken filling rakh ker pheela lein aur paratha ka part rakh dein,yehe same later dubara karein aur edges ko fork ki madad sa seal ker lein (makes 12).
-Baking tray per lined butter paper laga lei aur chicken patties rakh dein.
-Preheated oven mein 180 C per 25 minutes kliya bake ker lein.

pre heat oven 180 degrees c
oven tray with baking paper
150g sweet potato ( kumara ) peeled diced small cooked just cool
250g chicken mince
1 small onion finely chopped
1/4 tea sp dried thyme
1/4 tea sp dried sage
2 sheets frozen puff pastry
1 egg beaten
sesame seeds optional
bake 30 to 35 mins til golden brown
you can fridge or freeze before cooking
