Cheeseburger Pie
With a handful of pantry staple ingredients, this delicious homemade cheeseburger pie will become a family favorite for a simple weeknight dinner. Our old-fashioned recipe is the ultimate in comfort food thanks to hearty ground beef, cheese, and spices — all ready in 40 minutes!

INGREDIENTS
1 pound Laura’s Lean Ground Beef
½ cup diced onion
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ tsp onion powder
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
2 eggs
1/2 cup baking mix
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Spray an 8-inch pie pan with nonstick spray.
In a large skillet cook the Laura’s Lean Ground Beef, onion, salt, pepper, and onion powder over medium heat until the meat is browned and onions are translucent. Drain any extra fat.
Place half of the meat mixture in the prepared pie pan.
Sprinkle ½ cup of the cheddar cheese over the meat.
Top with the remaining ground beef.
Place the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the meat mixture.
In a medium bowl whisk together the eggs, baking mix, milk, and garlic salt until fairly smooth. It’s okay if it has a few lumps. Pour this mixture over the meat pie.
Bake for 25 minutes or until a cake tester or knife inserted comes out clean.
NOTES
PRO TIP: I use a potato masher to break up my ground beef. SERVE WITH: This would be good with diced pickle, lettuce, tomato on top!

My cheeseburger pie with pie crust recipe is easy and delicious! This old fashioned hamburger pot pie translates all the elements of a classic cheeseburger into a pie. The secret ingredient is the Worcestershire sauce: it really brings out the beefy flavor, fooling your tastebuds into thinking that you just might be biting down into a thick, juicy beef patty. The onions, tomatoes, and spices add even more flavor, and the tanginess of the sharp cheddar ties everything together perfectly. A layer of cheese and sour cream just under the top crust adds the perfect finishing touch that really puts this over the top. Cheeseburger Pie with Pie Crust Recipe Ingredients ????????
2 9-inch pie crusts
1 lb ground beef (I used 90/10, but I think 85/15 would be juicier)
1/2 pound diced onion (1 large onion)
1/2 pound chopped tomato (1 large tomato)
1 8 oz block sharp cheddar cheese (next time, I will use another 1/2 block, for a total of 12 ounces of shredded cheese)
1/4 cup sour cream
4 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
*enough oil to cook the meat and vegetables
*Optional: ketchup and mustard for serving on the side
