How To make Candycane's Brownies
3/4 c Butter (1 1/2 sticks)
4 oz Unsweetened baking choc.
2 c Sugar
3 Eggs
1 t Vanilla
1 c Flour
1 c Nuts, chopped
10 x Caramels (Kraft)
In large bowl, melt butter and chocolate in microwave for 5 minutes, or in pan on stove over low heat (if in pan, stir constantly). Stir until completely melted. Add sugar and mix til sugar is absorbed by chocolate. Add eggs and vanilla and stir, then add flour and stir til lumps are gone, don't stir more than that. Mix in nuts. Pour thin layer of batter into greased 8x12 pan (just enough to cover the bottom). Melt carmel in microwave for 30 seconds, or in pan until soft. The carmel will still be in squares, but it will be warm and soft. With fingers, flatten squares into larger squares and put on top of brownie layer. Add the rest of the batter. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.

Christmas Recipe: Candy Cane Brownies

Fudgey dark chocolate peppermint brownies are topped with real candy cane frosting and finished with a festive chocolate drizzle. They also freeze fabulously so you can bake them now and enjoy them on Christmas Eve!

CHRISTMAS TREATS | BROWNIE CHRISTMAS TREE, CANDY CANE LOLLIPOPS & SNOWMAN POPS
BROWNIE CHRISTMAS TREE
Makes 8, Prep Time 20 Minutes. Cooking Time Total 45 Minutes.
Ingredients:
* 200g Chocolate (Chopped)
* 200g Butter (Melted)
* 220g Sugar
* 3 Medium Eggs
* 150g Plain Flour
* 35g Cocoa Powder
* White Chocolate Chunks/Chips
* Decorations (Icing pens & Giant Chocolate Stars)
(PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 180*C)
1. Break up the 200g Bar of Chocolate into a bowl. Then place into Microwave for 20 second intervals x3 (Stirring in between) until melted.
2. Place the Cup of Butter into the Microwave for 20 second intervals x2 (stirring in between) until melted.
3. Pour the melted Chocolate & melted Butter into a Mixing Bowl and stir until combined.
4. Then break open 3 eggs and stir together until combined.
5. Now add in Sugar, Flour & Cocoa Powder and mix until combined.
6. Pour out the whole bag of White Chocolate Chunks/Chips & Stir.
7. Add a thin layer of butter onto the bottom and sides of your brownie tray & line with greaseproof paper.
8. Pour all the mixture into the brownie tray & place into the Pre-heated Oven for 35 minutes.
9. Lift out the grease proof paper and allow to cool for 20 minutes.
10. Cut into Triangle Shapes.
11. Break the end of the Candy Cane, and twist up into the base of the Brownie Tree.
12. Decorate how you would like. Icing Pens & Chocolate Stars work great.

CANDY CANE HEART LOLLIPOPS
INGREDIENTS:
* Candy Canes
* White Chocolate Bars x2
* Lollipop Sticks
(PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 180*C)
1. Place down Greaseproof Paper onto Large Oven Tray
2. Arrange Candy Canes into Heart Shapes on the Tray
3. Place Candy Canes into the Oven at 180*C for 2 Minutes
4. Take out the tray and place down the lollipop stick at the bottom of the Hearts going half way through the heart. Bend and pinch the ends/top of the heart to mould together.
5. Any extra Candy Canes, place into a bowl and crush into small pieces (Using the end of a Rolling Pin)
6. Break up all the White Chocolate into a bowl, and place into the microwave for 3x 20 second intervals until melted.
7. Pour the melted White Chocolate into the centre of the Candy Cane Hearts.
8. Finally, Sprinkle the Candy Cane Crushed Pieces on top of the chocolate & Leave to set in the fridge for Two Hours.

SNOWMAN CHOCOLATE POPS
INGREDIENTS
* OREO x5
* White Chocolate Bar 200g
* Lollipop Sticks
* Smarties x3 packs
* Milk Chocolate Chips
1. Pour out all smarties into a bowl. (We need the orange smarties) & Milk Chocolate Chips.
2. Break up all the White Chocolate into a bowl & Place into the Microwave for 3x 20 second Intervals until melted.
3. Taking the Lollipop Sticks, Gently, Push up the centre of the Oreo Biscuit until the top.
4. Over the bowl, Pour the White Chocolate Around the whole Oreo Biscuit until generously covered, spinning slowly.
5. Then to decorate, Place two Chocolate Chips down for the Eyes & An Orange Smartie in the middle for the snowmans nose.
6. Place into the Fridge to set for at least Two Hours.

1/2 tsp peppermint extract
1/2 an egg!
175g plain flour
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp red colour paste
