Butternut Squash Bread Rolls Recipe
A delicious bread roll elevates any meal it is paired with -- and these butternut squash rolls are an awesome twist on the classic!
It's really simple -- you essentially just add butternut squash puree to an already great roll recipe. Watch the video to see how it's done!
I did this video as a part of my partnership with Food & Wine's website, FWx.com, and this is a recipe from Food & Wine! These did not last long in my apartment!
The ingredients you'll need are:
-1 1/4 cups whole milk
-1/2 cup butternut squash puree (I show you how to get the puree from a whole butternut squash in the video!)
-2 Tbsp. sugar
-one packet of active dry yeast
-1 large egg, beaten
-4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
-2 1/2 teaspoons table salt
-1 stick unsalted butter, cut into tablespoons, plus 6 tablespoons melted butter
-vegetable or Canola oil, for greasing the dough

Butternut Squash Quick Bread
Hello and welcome to Old Ways Gardening and Prepping. ???? Would like to welcome you back into the kitchen today. Going to do a little experiment with some shredded butternut squash and make a sweet quick bread with it.
Will be using the same recipe that I used for the zucchini bread just substituting shredded butternut squash for it. This bread turned out amazing and very light as well. This is one quick bread that I will continue to make from now on it is wonderful.
Here is the single batch recipe for this quick bread. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did It is great with a mug of coffee.
3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 cups of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of Saigon cinnamon
1 teaspoon of Jamaican allspice
2 cups grated butternut squash
2/3 cup of water
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 cup melted butter
4 beaten eggs
Options: raisins, chocolate chips, nuts of your choice, dried cranberries and so on.
Mix all of your dry ingredients together in one bowl and your wet ingredients in another. Add your wet ingredients to your dry and mix together thoroughly. Then add your walnuts and your dried cranberries, and mix thoroughly. Definitely grease very well your baking pan or pans and divide the batter even rain between them.
Preheat oven at 350° and bake bread for an hour. Enjoy ????

• 1 large butternut squash
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 2 cloves garlic minced
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
✅Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2️⃣ 00:00:13 - Use a fork to prick holes in the skin of the butternut squash. Microwave for 3 minutes on high, then let cool until you can easily handle.
3️⃣ 00:00:36 - Peel, seed, and cut squash into 1-inch cubes.
4️⃣ 00:01:20 - Place squash into a large mixing bowl and toss with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
5️⃣ 00:01:35 - Spread squash in an even layer onto a 18x13-inch baking sheet.
6️⃣ 00:02:47 - Roast in the 400 degree oven for 40-50 minutes, until squash is tender.
NOTES:
00:00:13 - Easiest way to peel and cut a butternut squash:
1️⃣ 00:00:13 - Use a fork to prick holes in the skin of the butternut squash. Microwave for 3 minutes on high, then let cool until you can easily handle.
2️⃣ Use a vegetable peeler to remove the peel.
3️⃣ 00:00:36 - Cut the butternut squash in half, lengthwise to split the butter nut squash open. Each piece will have the long, skinnier neck, and the bell shape at the bottom.
4️⃣ 00:00:50 - Scrape out seeds from the bell portion and discard.
5️⃣ 00:00:55 - Cut each piece to separate the neck from the bell.
6️⃣ 00:01:01 - Dice the squash into 1-inch cubes.
FLAVOR VARIATIONS:
00:02:11 - Brown Sugar Roasted Butternut Squash: toss cubed squash with 3 tablespoons melted butter, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt
00:02:26 - Maple Roasted Butternut Squash: toss cubed squash with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 3 tablespoons maple syrup, and 1/4 teaspoon salt
00:01:45 - Rosemary Roasted Butternut Squash: add 2 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary to this recipe, or 2 teaspoons dried

Ingredients For:Butternut Squash Loaf Bread
Here's what we need:
3 Cups bread flour
1 Cup fresh milk
2 Tsp instant yeast
50 Grams softened butter
1/2 Tsp salt
1 Large egg
1/4 Cup mashed butternut squash
1 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
For TOPPING:
1/3 Cup mashed butternut squash
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
10 Grams softened butter
For the garnish : Pumpkin seeds
