How To make Beer Batter Fried Veggies 'N' Things
1 x Oil
1 ea Env. Golden Onion Soup Mix
1 c Unbleached All-purpose Flour
1 t Baking Powder
2 ea Large Eggs
1/2 c Beer, Any regular Beer
1 T Prepared Mustard
1 x Vegies 'n' Things *
* Sugguested Veggies 'n' Things: Use any of the following to equal 4 to 5 cups
broccoli florets, cauliflowerets, sliced mushrooms, sliced zucchini or chilled spears of mozzarella cheese. ~:
In deep fat fryer, heat oil to 375 degrees F. Meanwhile, in large bowl, beat golden onion recipe soup mix, flour, baking powder, eggs, mustard and beer until smooth and well belnded. Let batter stand 10 minutes. Dip Sugguested Veggies 'n' Things into bater, then carefully drop into hot oil. Fry, turning once, until golden brown; drain on paper towels. Serve warm. Makes about 4 cups vegies 'n' things.

Remember the other day, when I made that White Bean Cheeseburger all vegetarian style? Well this is my reward. Yeah, it's summer, and we're all eating grilled veggie things and skinny salads but sometimes I need a plate of fried food. Today, my heart-attack of choice is Halibut Fish & Chips. This Seattle classic is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just like me with a legit sunburn. Happy Summer, to all my buds out there!

Over the last few years, a lot of people have added a new appliance to their kitchens: an air fryer. The promise of crispy food, convenience, and perhaps slightly healthier cooking than traditional frying is definitely appealing. For those that don't know, an air fryer doesn't fry at all. It's essentially a countertop convection oven.
With that in mind, not everything you would normally cook in a deep fryer — or for that matter, an oven — is a good option for an air fryer.
