How To make Beef In Pepper Sauce
1 1/2 pounds Boneless beef sirloin -- trimmed of fat and c
-1 -inch long strips 2 Red bell peppers
one
chopped and one :
cut into 1/2-inch st 1 Jalapeno pepper seeded and
2 Garlic cloves :
halved
1/4 cup Dry white wine
3/4 tablespoon Minced fresh ginger
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon Ground cardamom
2 to 3 drops hot sauce like
1 tablespoon Butter or margarine
1 tablespoon Oil
1 medium Onion :
chopped
Hot cooked rice or pita -- bread
Place the chopped red pepper, jalapeno, garlic, wine, ginger, salt, pepper, turmeric, cardamom, and Tabasco in a blender on medium-high speed until smoothly blended.
Heat the butter or margarine and the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add the beef and cook until most of the liquid has been rendered and meat is browned on all sides, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove the beef and keep warm.
Add the onion and red pepper strips to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3 minutes. Return the beef to the skillet and add the blender mixture. Heat to boiling, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered until the beef is hot and the sauce is slightly thickened. Serve over rice or stuffed into pitas, with rice on the side.

Ingredients
- 3 shallots, sliced thin
- 3 cloves garlic, smashed
- 20g green peppercorns
- 50ml brandy or whiskey
- 10g ground black pepper
- 500ml beef stock
- 50ml cream
- Salt to taste
- 20ml olive oil
- Small bunch parsley
Method
1. Start by sautéing your shallots for 5-6 minutes or until they become translucent.
2. Add the garlic and cook for a further 1 minute.
3. Deglaze the pan with the brandy and add the green peppercorns, ground black pepper and beef stock to the pan.
4. Reduce this by half and stir in the cream.
5. Check the sauce for salt and finish with some fresh chopped parsley.
6. Enjoy it over your favourite steak, cooked to how you like it.

INGREDIENTS :
*2 pounds of flank steak cut against grain into thin slices
* 2 bell peppers cut into bite size pieces
* 1 large onion
* 3 cloves of garlic minced 1/2 thumb size ginger minced
* 6 tablespoons oil (1/3 for marinade, 1/3 for stir frying of steak, 1/3 for stir frying vegetables)
* 1&1/2 tablespoon of honey
* 1/2 tablespoon chicken seasoning (substitute with all purpose seasoning)
* Pinch each of crushed black pepper for marinade, and slurry
* 1/2 cup of water
* 2 tablespoon of soy sauce (1/2 light and 1/2 dark)
* 3 tablespoons corn starch (1/2 for marinade, 1/2 for slurry)
Instructions
1. Marinate meat for 20-30 minutes prior to cooking.
2. Place skillet on medium heat, add oil, wait till oil is sizzling hot and place steak in batches,
spread out in pan for 2 minutes on each side, to obtain a sear/caramelization.
3. Transfer cooked steak to a bowl to stop cooking. Repeat this process till all steak is cooked.
4. Proceed with cooking vegetables in a wok by adding remaining oil to wok in high heat. Add
remaining garlic and ginger, crushed black pepper and salt, stir and cook for under 30
seconds. Add vegetables and cook to your preferred crunch/done-ess.
Notes: I cooked the vegetables not exceeding 1 minute. Add slurry (combination of water, corn starch, soy sauce, garlic and ginger), stir till thickened. Add cooked steak and stir to combine. Remove wok from heat and serve with rice.

Ingredients
Sauce
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 onion(minced)
- 5 cloves garlic(minced)
- 1.5 tbsp ginger(minced)
- 1 tbsp miso paste
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/4 cup water+1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp black pepper
Fried Rice
- 2 cups short-grain rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup canned corn(drained)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp green onion(chopped)
- 0.75 lbs thinly sliced beef(shabu style)
Instructions
Sauce
1. Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger with oil on medium heat until translucent.
2. Add soy sauce, honey, miso paste and bring to a boil.
3. Combine water with cornstarch and pour into sauce.
4. Heat until thickened.
5. Blend sauce until smooth.
Fried Rice
1. Wash rice 3 times and cook with water in rice cooker.
2. Heat cast iron pan with oil and place a bowl of rice in the center of the pan.
3. Lay beef around rice and pour corn, green onions, butter, sauce(3-5 tbsp), and a generous amount of black pepper.
4. Fry beef until cooked to your liking and mix together(I like to crisp up the rice at the bottom for more texture).

1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Rice Wine
1 tsp Sesame Oil
3 tsp Brown Sugar

1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Ginger Powder
MEAT MARINADE:
2 Stock Cubes (I used Knorr Chicken Cubes)
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
3 tbsp Corn flour
1 tsbp Minced Garlic
1 tbsp Minced Ginger
1/3 Cup Honey
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Black Pepper
