Triangle Santa and Simple Reindeer Cookies (almond sugar cookies) - with yoyomax12
These Santa cookies are fun to make and are sure to impress people you serve them too. The reindeer cookies are so cute and so simple! I had planned on making the reindeer cookies a stand-alone video, but it would have been very short, lol.
You can use any sugar cookie recipe to make these.

Almond Sugar Cookies
1 cup (250g) butter softened
1 1/2 cups (310g) white granulated sugar
1/2 tsp (2.5ml) baking powder
1/2 tsp (2.5ml) salt (I omitted it because I used salted butter)
2 eggs
1/4 cup (60ml) milk
1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
1/2 tsp (2.5ml) almond extract
1/2 cup (39g) ground almonds
3 cups (435g) all purpose flour
In a large mixing bowl, blend the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the baking powder and salt (if using).
Beat in the eggs, milk, vanilla and almond extract until combined.
Beat in ground almonds and as much of the flour as you can beat in with the mixer.
Switch to a spoon to mix in the last of the flour if necessary.
Divide dough into two portions, wrap and refrigerate dough for at least 2 hours.
Roll out dough between sheets of waxed or parchment paper and cut out desired shapes.
If the dough is still sticky, place dough with cutouts in the freezer for 15 minutes and it should be easier to remove the cut out pieces. Place them about an inch apart on a cookie sheet (greased or covered with parchment/silicone mat) and bake at 350F for about 7-10 minutes, until edges are light brown. The cookies will stay pretty much the same colour and shape and don't spread much.
I'm going to guess that this recipe will make about 3 dozen cookies at 1/4 thickness, depending on size of course.
Egg Yolk Paint:
1 egg yolk
few drops of water
food colour
Combine the egg yolk with water and food colour and use it to pain cookies prior to baking.

Please check out my bestie YT friend, Tammy (yoyomax12):
Tammy and I have been friends for many years and met here on YouTube! Since then we have met up in real life many times. You will LOVE her tutorials and learn how to decorate cupcakes better than most bakeries do. She lives in Canada, but I really wish she lived next door.
Also check out Jenn. You will love her as well.
She and I have just recently become YT besties, have now met in real life twice and done some video collaborations together. When we are together, we get each other. It is hard to explain to people sometimes what you do and it is nice to be comfy knowing that she also understands everything I am talking about. Oddly enough, she too lives in Canada. I may have to move there soon since such awesome ladies are produced there!
Lastly, smile! I like it when you smile :)

almond snowflake cookies Something Vegan Christmas Treats Week
RECIPE
1/2 cup vegan margarine
1/2 cup organic sugar
1/2 cup organic brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
Blue hard candy, smashed/broken up into pieces (don’t smash it into a powder)
Icing
1 cup organic powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. vegan margarine
1/2 Tbsp. non-dairy milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. To a bowl, add vegan margarine, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Stir well. Add flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until a smooth dough forms. Roll the dough out on a floured surface. Use a snowflake cookie cutter to cut out cookies. Use a small leaf/oval shaped cookie cutter to cut out part of the snowflakes. Place the cookies on a pan lined with a baking mat. Re-roll and cut until all the dough has been used. Fill in the holes in the cookies with the broken blue candies (do this neatly, and be sure not to leave any candy on top of the cookies, or on the mat, because they will melt and be messy). Bake 8-10 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the pan, and be sure not to touch the melted candy until it hardens, because it will be very hot! To make the icing: to a bowl, add powdered sugar, vegan margarine, non-dairy milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth. Transfer to a plastic bag, or piping bag, and decorate the cooled cookies. Makes 16-24 cookies depending on size.
If you make this, or any of my other recipes, I’d love it if you shared a photo of it with me on Instagram!
