How to make a LAMB BURGER FILLED WITH MOZZARELLA with TZATZIKI | TheRecipeConnoisseur
Mozzarella filled Lamb Burger with Tzatziki dressing
I’ve made this burger many times before I started this page and the interest I got from it was crazy. For that reason, I decided to share my recipe with you so you can enjoy this juicy burger and enjoy it as much as I have alongside the people that have tried it. It is a great fusion of greek and mediterranean flavours hence the inclusion of pickled onions, sumac and the tzatziki with abit of a twist.
This recipe made 4 burgers. You can adjust accordingly.
Ingredients:
-4 Brioche buns (you can use alternative buns but I like the softness of the brioche buns)
Lamb Patty -500g Mince Lamb,
-1 shallot, finely diced,
-2 garlic cloves, finely diced,
-1 tbsp parsley, -1 tbsp garlic salt,
-1/2 tbsp black pepper,
-1 tbsp paprika,
-1/2 tbsp red chilli powder,
-1 tbsp sumac,
-1 tbsp cumin powder,
-Large mozzarella ball or grated mozzarella,
-1 tbsp oil for the pan,
Tzatziki
-3 tbsp greek yoghurt or other plain yoghurt,
-1/4 cucumber,
-1 tbsp salt,
-1 tbsp ground pepper,
-hand full of coriander/mint,
-pinch of lemon zest, -half lemon juice,
In the burger
-Rocket, but you can use any lettuce,
-Homemade pickled onions, you can use pickled onions or raw onions,
-I also added some fresh red chillies to one of the burgers which was a great addition,
Method:
-Finely dice the shallots and garlic gloves,
-Put the mozzarella into the number of burgers your making,
-Start by making the patties by putting your mince in a bowl and add the shallots, garlic and all the spices and herbs,
-Mix the patty mixture well till all combined,
-Partition the patty mixture for how many burgers you’re making,
-Now split it again into two balls, form a patty with half and place the mozzarella piece on the patty,
-Now add the other half on top and form the patty,
-Now repeat that process for the other burgers,
-Now cook the burgers and medium/high heat for 12-15mins and flipping the burger every 3-5 mins,
-Now make the tzatziki by placing all the ingredients in a bowl and mixing well,
-You can now put your burger together.

Easy Lamb Burger on the Griddle (with 3 Ingredient Whipped Feta)
This lamb burger on the griddle is a super easy burger to make on the flat top grill if you love Greek food. Ground lamb gets a sprinkling of my favorite all purpose Greek seasoning, and I smashed the lamb burger patties just a bit so as not to lose too much of the moisture in the meat.
But the easy 3 ingredient whipped feta that I made to go on top of the griddle lamb burgers is really the star of the show. Just combine 3/4 cups feta cheese, 1/4 cup store-bought tzatziki sauce (the Boar's Head one we used was really good), and about 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil. Beat all of the ingredients together with a mixer, and top your easy lamb burger on the griddle with that fantastic spread.

Greek-Style Lamb Burger Recipe
Make a Greek version of your favorite burger the next time you want an elevated pub-style meal. This recipe combines ground lamb with Mediterranean-inspired seasonings. Load the sandwich up with all your favorite toppings and serve it with quinoa, roasted veggies, or fries.

Ingredients
- Lamb patty (recipe below)
- 1 tbsp minted greek yogurt
- Small handful rocket
- Pickled red onions
- 1/3 Lebanese cucumber, cut thin and salted
- 1 burger bun
Method
1. Toast the bun, then spread yoghurt on both sides.
2. Next and your rocket followed by the patty, top with cucumber and pickled onion.
Lamb patties (recipe for 3 small or 2 large)
- 500g Lamb mince
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 grinds of the pepper mill
Method
1. Mix everything (not too much).
2. Shape into burgers.
3. Oil the outside and grill over a hot grill.
Ingredients pickled red onion
- 1 red onion, sliced lengthways thin
- 200ml water
- 200ml apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 star anise
Method
1. Place everything apart from the onion into a pot and bring it to a boil.
2. Pour over the sliced onions and as soon as it's cold it's good to go.
3. These will keep in the fridge longer than they will last (well at least at my house).
