How To make Cheese Onion Morsels
1 lb Cheddar Cheese (Grated)
1/2 c Soft Butter
1 Egg
1/4 c Water
2 c All-Purpose Flour
1 ts Salt
2 ts Sugar
1/2 ts Baking Powder
1/2 ts Paprika
1/2 c Onions (Finely Chopped)
1/4 c Parsley (Chopped) Or Flakes
Beat cheese and butter. Add egg and water. Blend. Combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and paprika. Add flour mixture, onions and parsley to the cheese mixture. Blend. Drop onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350?F for 15 minutes or until golden brown. May be frozen and thawed. Reheat at 375?F for 5 minutes. Makes 8 dozen.

How To Make French Onion Chip Dip From Scratch Recipe Super Bowl Ready
Glen has been on the lookout for a great French Onion Chip Dip - but all the ones at the grocery store are sub-par... and most 'recipes' just dump soup mix into mayo or sour cream. Glen gets real Making French Onion Chip Dip from scratch, and Julie stops by for a taste test.
Super Bowl Snacks here we come!
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp (30 mL) butter
2 cups (500 mL) diced onions
4 shallots
½ tsp (2 mL) salt
2 Tbsp (30 mL) balsamic vinegar
½ tsp (2 mL) white pepper
½ tsp (2 mL) cayenne pepper
4 oz (120g) cream cheese
½ cup (125 mL) sour cream
½ tsp (2 mL) onion powder
¼ tsp (1 mL) garlic powder
Method:
Melt the butter in a fry pan over medium heat.
Add the onions, shallots, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Cook for 5 minutes, stirring.
Then reduce the heat to medium low and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the balsamic vinegar and reduce.
Remove from stove and allow to cool.
Cream the cream cheese in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer.
Add the sour cream, garlic powder and onion powder and cream until lump free.
Add the cooled and caramelised onions.
Mix until just combined.
Refrigerate over night to really let the flavours meld… or eat it right away.

Ingredients:
•2 medium potatoes

•50g soft cheese
•130g cheddar
•15ml milk
•10g butter (add to mixture)
•1/2 tsp black pepper
•1/2 tsp onion granules
•1 egg

Cheesy Spring Onion Cigars
A starter with a super exotic touch, the Cheesy Spring Onion Cigars will floor all your guests with its amazingly cheesy texture and peppy flavour. Since it is made with readymade samosa pattis, this starter has a wonderfully crisp cover, and is also quite easy to prepare! You will thoroughly enjoy the strong scents of spring onions and the gooey mouth-feel typical of cheesy starters! However, remember like all cheese-based snacks, this must be served immediately on preparation before the cheese hardens.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes.
Cooking Time: 15 minutes.
Makes 27 cigars.
To be mixed into a stuffing
1 cup grated processed cheese
½ cup finely chopped spring onion whites and greens
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
Salt to taste
Other ingredients
9 samosa pattis
Oil for deep-frying
To be mixed into a smooth maida-water mixture
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
3 tbsp water
For serving
Schezuan sauce
1. Cut each samosa patti into 3 to get 75 mm. X 62 mm. (3 x 2½) rectangular pieces. You will get 27 pieces in all.
2. Place one piece of the samosa patti on a clean, dry surface and place 1 tsp of the stuffing at one corner of a samosa patti piece. Roll it up tighly and seal using the maida-water mixture. Seal both the open ends also with the maida-water mixture.
3. Repeat wit the remaining pattis and stuffing to make 26 more cigars.
4. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, deep-fry a few cigars at a time, on a medium flame, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
Serve immediately with Schezuan sauce.
